31 The armadillo is the Texas State Small Mammal. It makes you wonder about the busy-ness of the Texas State Legislature a little bit when you discover that there's a state everything and anything (47 total) in Texas, and all made official by legislation. Of course, maybe I wouldn't think this was a waste of time if the next Texas State Symbol were something I thought up (Texas State Meat? Texas State Non-Flying Rodent? Texas State Beverage?)...

Did you notice that although there are only 47 official Texas State Symbols (not counting the Texas flag), there are 48 listed here? One of these is a fake. I'll tell you which on tomorrow's Saint Report.
