Orbach would have celebrated his 73rd birthday today. I sure liked him.
Not only was he terrific on "Law and Order" (not his first
series incidentally), but he was a Broadway musical star, performing
in "Annie
Get Your
Gun" with Ethel Merman as well as in many other productions.
He had a natural grace and elegance.

He was
a great looking man in his 60's, but look at that old picture--kind of a blend
of Sean Connery and Joe Dimagio, wasn't he?
